Thank you for visiting our site. You’ll find lots of new paintings popping up on the site over the next few weeks, as we our artists have been hard and work and we have been receiving new artwork weekly. Make sure to browse Dawn Cohen, Michael Carnahan, Robert Isley, Allen Fireall and Joan Davis for great new collections of paintings.

We’re also excited to announce the addition of two talented artists, Wen Ze Chen and Stuart Roper.

Wen Ze Chen is a Chinese immigrant who paints with a rare passion. His studio, in the woods of the Blue Ridge Mountains, is where Chen gets most of his inspiration for his paintings.

His background is profoundly diverse – Chen started as a young peasant farmer in China and eventually became a renowned painting professor. He followed his wife to America so she could pursue her doctoral degree in Engineering at Georgia Tech. With no English skills, he took any job that was available to help support his family, including polishing the floors of the state Capitol building and walking back and forth all day long as a carpet-durability-tester.

Wen finally achieved his goals of having his paintings represented in the Galleries around the United States as well as learning English. Wen speaks of his new country:

"America is like one big classroom for me, it taught me everything, not just

art. It's taught me what life is, and love, and parties, and friends. The

independence that I've found here, this is my dream. When I become an

American citizen, I will be like an eagle flying -- a bird. I will be able to go

anywhere, because I am an artist."

Stuart Roper was born and raised in North Carolina, although he has spent a good deal of his adult life living and traveling both within the US and abroad. Living in Normandy, France and later in southern France on the banks of The Seine have had a great influence on his art and style.

"The setting was indeed magical, only a stone's throw from the cradle of

impressionism and the home of Claude Monet.”

Working under "the glorious sun of Provence," he spent five years there, while also making painting trips into Italy, to Corsica and back to Normandy. Roper returned to the United States in 1998 and is now based in Asheville, North Carolina. His work is widely collected and is represented in many important collections.

Please stop by the gallery and inquire about new works, or to casually browse our offerings.

Thank you all again!
